GREAT

The GREAT SOUTHERN KNIFE SHOW is the
premier Fall cutlery exposition in Atlanta, Georgia. This show is
sponsored and produced by the Flint River Knife Club and the
Chattahoochee Cutlery Club, with support from the Georgia
Custom Knifemaker's Guild. As an outgrowth of the annual Flint
River Knife Club annual show, the GSKS
offers the best in custom and factory knives for users and
collectors. In addition, the show provides a venue for engravers,
scrimshanders, and leathercrafters. The GSKS is also an excellent
source for knife-making supplies and displays of knife collections.
The GSKS is scheduled for the weekend of October 13 & 14, 2007, and will feature
vendors from all across the Southeast. Appealing to the 5 million residents
of metro Atlanta, the show should be a popular annual event.

Flint
River Knife Club Benefit Knife
Once a year, the Flint River Knife Club sells a custom knife to benefit
our non-profit club activities. Two hundred tickets at $10.00 each
are sold and a drawing is held at the Great Southern Knife Show
in 2007. The 2007 knife is a replica of the 1800's knife shown
in the GSKS logo, and is being made by David Prowell. Tickets
for this knife can be purchased from Flint River Knife Club (via
FRKC05@peoplepc.com), at the BLADE SHOW on June 8, 9, & 10, or
at the Flint River Club table at the Great Southern Knife Show
in the Cobb Civic Center on October 13 & 14, 2007.
